Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning (2020) and a Master’s degree in Urban Design (2022) from the Université de Montréal, Astrée has distinguished herself throughout her academic career by her commitment and particular interest in the requalification of former industrial wastelands. Her Master’s final project, inspired by Mile-Ex’s industrial and railway past, illustrates his ability to creatively integrate a site’s historical roots into an innovative concept. According to Astrée, each former industrial site is the bearer of a unique narrative, a history that deserves to be preserved, celebrated and innovatively integrated into today’s urban fabric.
Astrée gained significant experience with the City of Montreal’s Urban Projects Division before joining the civiliti team in 2024 as an urban designer. She brings a multidisciplinary perspective to her projects, combining the technical knowledge of urban planning with the creativity and sensitivity of urban design.
