civiliti is a Montreal firm specializing in urban and landscaping projects with a high public content.

Since its founding in 2001, the firm has centred its practice on the development of urban landscapes, with the goal of forging and strengthening the identity of the city. A strong proponent of the idea that public space is essential to building community , civiliti believes that the form we give to public spaces has the potential to imbue the land with a long-lasting spirit of togetherness. Grounded in recognized contemporary approaches, civiliti’s practice is focused on reflection and a holistic view of public space design.

Claudia Bucio

A graduate of the Master of Urban Design program at Université de Montréal (2018), Claudia Bucio also holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Centre Universitaire d’Art, d’Architecture et de Design in Guadalajara, Mexico (2014), which corresponds to a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Quebec.

She has worked on a number of urban projects in cities such as Montreal, Saint-Charles-Borromée and Guadalajara. After gaining experience at Arcadia Studio, Claudia joined the civiliti team in 2018, where she has been involved in projects of varying scope and scale, from the development of the PPU des Faubourgs and PPU de Laval, to the development of the Griffintown public realm, as well as assisting in the development of the concept and plans and details for the redevelopment of the Sainte-Cécile schoolyard. Her fields of expertise cover design development and graphic rendering, 3D modeling, and technical drafting.
