civiliti is a Montreal firm specializing in urban and landscaping projects with a high public content.

Since its founding in 2001, the firm has centred its practice on the development of urban landscapes, with the goal of forging and strengthening the identity of the city. A strong proponent of the idea that public space is essential to building community , civiliti believes that the form we give to public spaces has the potential to imbue the land with a long-lasting spirit of togetherness. Grounded in recognized contemporary approaches, civiliti’s practice is focused on reflection and a holistic view of public space design.

A graduate of McGill University’s Master of Urban Planning program (2020), Charlotte Belot also completed a Bachelor of Urban Studies and Architecture at the University of Calgary (2018). During her university career, she completed several internships, including at the City of Calgary and McGill University. She has developed a curiosity for the ways in which narrative can be used to frame issues of urban life and influence the shape of the city. She is particularly interested in the role of citizen participation in urban design processes. A member of the civiliti team since 2020, Charlotte brings her analytical and visual skills to the advancement of urban planning projects. She also manages communications for the firm.
