A landscape architect who graduated from the Université de Montréal’s School of Landscape Architecture in 1985, Alain Loof began his career with the Ville de Montréal, where he designed several neighborhood parks and collaborated on the master plan for Mount Royal. He then undertook a master’s degree in urban planning at McGill University. His vision of projects extended to include architectural, urban and social contexts. He was satisfied to see his projects integrated and appropriated by citizens.
Initially a freelance collaborator with civiliti for many years, he officially joined the team in 2021, where he produced working drawings and provided site supervision for various projects combining art, engineering, architecture and landscape architecture. His career led him to work on projects in a wide variety of fields, with an eye for detail and the ability to respond to the specific needs, constraints and budgets of each project. With nearly 35 years’ experience, his involvement in the implementation of several projects with various professional firms gave him a broad knowledge of and adaptability to working with multidisciplinary teams.
